🎣 A Charming Seaside Fishing Store

The centrepiece is the wonderfully weathered Old Fishing Store, designed with mismatched timber-style elements, aged-looking details and a distinctive coastal character.

The exterior includes steps leading to the front and side entrances, railings, a ventilator, pipes and meters, an anchor, barrel, tyres with chains and crates filled with fishing-related equipment. Fish hanging from hooks, life preservers and the "Anton's Bait Shop" sign complete the authentic seaside atmosphere.

🐟 A Shop Packed With Fishing Gear

Open up the building to discover an incredibly detailed interior filled with equipment and accessories.

The shop features a counter, display racks, cash register and numerous fishing and diving items, including:

- Fishing rods and nets

- Harpoons

- Diving helmets

- Oxygen tanks

- Diving flippers

- Oars

- A sextant

- A decorated map

- Boxes of hooks

- A toolbox and tools

- A box of dynamite

- Hanging fish and other seaside accessories

The rear wall opens up and the roof can be removed, making it easy to access the interior and appreciate the many details packed inside.

🗼 Climb the Lookout Tower

Connected to the fishing store is a distinctive watchtower, complete with a lower-level office and an upper-level observation platform.

The office includes a desk, chair, lamp, newspaper and opening windows, while a ladder leads to the upper level.

At the top, builders can enjoy a 360-degree viewing balcony equipped with a telescope, flag, ship's wheel and lantern. A weather vane and decorative crabs add even more character to this atmospheric seaside structure.

LEGO® Ideas 21310 includes four minifigures representing the colourful inhabitants and visitors of the fishing store:

With 2,049 pieces, this is a substantial LEGO® building project aimed at experienced builders aged 12+.

The model is constructed on a sand-coloured 32×32 LEGO® baseplate and uses a variety of building techniques to create its irregular timber exterior, rocky surroundings and distinctive architectural details.

The completed model measures approximately 32 cm high, 25 cm wide and 25 cm deep, making it an impressive display piece with plenty of visual interest from every angle.

🌊 A Unique LEGO Ideas Set

The Old Fishing Store originated as a fan-designed LEGO® Ideas project by Robert Bontenbal (RobenAnne). His design was inspired by his passion for fishing and his experience as an architectural draughtsman. The project reached the required 10,000 supporters before being selected for production as an official LEGO® Ideas set.

The finished LEGO® set remained remarkably faithful to the original fan design, preserving its distinctive seaside architecture and wealth of small details.

Originally released in 2017, LEGO® Ideas 21310 Old Fishing Store was later retired, making it an attractive option for collectors and fans of the LEGO® Ideas range. LEGO® itself describes the set as suitable for both display and role-play, while its combination of detailed architecture, unusual accessories and memorable characters gives it considerable display appeal.
